Mercedes-Benz Van Leasing
Think of a Mercedes van and quite a large one probably comes to mind. In actual fact though, the brand’s sales at present are really being driven by quite a compact contender, the Citan. This model is offered in three different body lengths to offer a decent level of flexibility. There's Compact, Long and Extra Long variants, plus there's also a five seat Citan Dualiner which offers a whole stack of versatility when employees, materials or even both must be transported. This gets a folding rear bench seat, an optional separator grille closing off the load compartment and two glazed sliding doors. Engine-wise, most Citan customers choose a 1.5-litre diesel. First up is the Citan 108 CDI, with a 75PS power output and 180Nm of torque. Then there's the Citan 109 CDI (90PS and 200Nm) and then the punchy Citan 111 CDI (110PS, 240Nm).
If you want a mid-sized Mercedes van, then you want a Vito. With three lengths, three weight variants, and two turbodiesel engines in five power ratings, the Vito offers a broad range. In addition to the panel van line-up, there's Vito crew van variant that combines the advantages of a panel van with those of a crewbus. The biggest mainstream Mercedes van is the Sprinter. Under the bonnet, customers here get to choose from versions of Mercedes' gutsy 2.1-litre four-cylinder common rail diesel, an engine which has forged a strong good reputation for its combination of performance, economy and refinement and is fitted with balancer shafts to eliminate vibration. The unit comes in four states of tune - with 112, 129, 140 and 163bhp options. It’s also worth mentioning that Mercedes now competes in the pick-up market with the smartly-styled X-Class, which features a V6 diesel engine.
