Vauxhall Movano Leasing

The Vauxhall Movano is equipped to take on the big guns in the large panel van class.
Vauxhall has a long history of producing vans that British businesses like, one dating all the way back to 1931, though back then, the brand’s LCVs carried Bedford badges. Since then, through the HA and CF models that sold in their thousands right to today’s Combo and Vivaro vans, the Luton brand has continued to be a major player in the commercial market, latterly through co-developing its products with Renault. And this is the biggest of them – indeed the largest van this maker has ever produced – the second generation Vauxhall Movano.

Why Would You Want One?
If size really matters, then you need a van that’s really big. A Vauxhall Movano lease gets you one that really is. But the second generation version of this model has more than just sheer size on its side, well equipped to take on the biggest guns in the large panel van class, with heavy payload capacities, clever convenience features and the choice of both front and rear wheel drive.
Give Me the Key Details...
Vauxhall is particularly proud of its efforts in the Movano cabin. The various seating options give a broad range of adjustment while the position of the steering column can also be tweaked to taste. Visibility is enhanced by the large door mirrors, the huge expanse of windscreen and the vehicle's steeply sloping nose.
Before considering the various Vauxhall Movano leasing deals on offer, you’ll need to make your choice of engine. The 2.3-litre CDBTi diesel unit comes in 110, 140, 145, 163 and 170bhp states of tune. Vauxhall Movano contract hire deals can be tempting too.
Of the four vehicle lengths, only L1, L2 and L3 are produced for front wheel drive customers. Rear wheel drive buyers are limited to the L3 and L4 body lengths. Cargo volume will of course depend both on this and your choice between three body heights (H1, 2 and 3), leading to cubic metre capacities that run from 8 to 14.8m3 for front wheel drive models and between 12.4 and 17.0m3 if you opt for rear wheel drive (though with a Luton conversion, you can push this up to as much as 22m3).
That kind of carriage capacity can mean a lot of weight, so it’s just as well that top 4.5 tonne gross vehicle weight option is available at the summit of the Movano model range, sitting above more familiar 2.8, 3.3 and 3.5-tonne variants. As a result, payload capacities can run to well over 2.2-tonnes.
The Bottom Line
Amongst this vehicle’s large van rivals, few others can offer quite such a practical range of virtues and those that do struggle to match this model’s sensible convenience features and low running costs. Whether you’d want one over this vehicle’s Renault Master and Nissan NV400 design stablemates though, will likely come down to the deal you’re offered and the proximity of your local dealer. Both are areas where Vauxhall is especially strong.
