Volkswagen Passat Leasing

Volkswagen's eight generation Passat can be a smart choice in the Mondeo segment.
The Volkswagen Passat is a strong proposition in its eighth generation form. Spacious and stylish with a range of economical diesel engines and an all-wheel drive 240PS flagship, this car builds in a host of high-tech features but still majors on ride quality and cabin refinement.

Why Would You Want One?
It’s a Mondeo-segment medium range contender that has the classy feel of a more expensive (but slightly smaller) premium-branded compact executive saloon. That’s always been the formula for Passat success and it’s one that Volkswagen has very carefully tweaked and perfected over the last 42 years.
This eight generation design offers drivers choosing a VW Passat lease more finesse, higher tech options and some eminently sensible financial propositions, as well as a real cracker of a flagship variant to act as the halo product. There are some great VW Passat leasing offers about too.
Give Me the Key Details...
Go for a Volkswagen Passat business lease and you’ll get yourself a saloon or estate that in MK8 model form looks sleek, chiselled and polished, with head and tail lights that emphasise the car's width.
Big sales depend on the 2.0-litre 150PS diesel engine and it's a unit that's respectably refined. The 1.6-litre 120PS diesel isn't quite so impressive, but graduate further up the range and things improve. There's even a GTE plug-in petrol/electric hybrid model offered. The manual gearbox has evolved into something Volkswagen is rightly proud of, although a DSG twin-clutch still seems a more natural fit for the Passat.
There’s a spacious cabin too. And a smart fascia featuring a big central screen and a set of optional digital 'virtual' dials. The seats are supremely comfortable over longer distances and three adults can fit in the back. The boot measures an enormous 586-litres in the saloon variant, while the estate offers 650-litres before you start folding seats.
The Bottom Line
These days, the Passat is a more aspirational item and there's a certain cool about it that stems from not being seen to be trying too hard. We like that.
